At Sarkis Dental Clinic we aim to provide a pleasant dental experience for children whether it is actual treatment or preventive procedure such as the application of fissure sealant. A child's first dental experience has great significance on their future relationsip with their dentist and their overall oral health, that is why unless there is an urgent issue to attend to, we prefer your child's first visit to our clinic to be a quick check up, where we “count their teeth” and show them that taking care of their teeth can be fun and enjoyable.
We are also proud to be part of The Medicare Child Dental Benefit Scheme. The Medicare-funded scheme, which started in January 2014, allows children to receive free dental treatment if they meet the eligibility criteria. If you have children aged between two and seventeen and meet the Medicare criteria, each of your children may receive free dental treatment worth up to $1000 over two calendar years. Medicare-funded Benefits cover a range of dental services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions. Benefits are not available for orthodontic or cosmetic dental work and cannot be paid for any services provided in a hospital.
You can confirm your child's eligibility and balance amount by calling the Medicare general enquiries line on 132 011 or by calling our friendly reception and providing your child's Medicare card number and we will enquire on your behalf.
At Sarkis Dental Clinic, we are happy to support the Medicare Child Dental Benefit Scheme by NOT charging you any out of pocket fees for services provided under the scheme.
